Where I go to look at photos.

Photography Tips

When I would like to get inspired or just to take the time to explore the world through other people’s eyes, I enjoy looking at photography. Some of the places I go to do this are as follows:

FlakPhoto – is a website run by Andy Admas and is a great place to go for emerging work. It is one of my favorites.

500px – is a recent find of mine. If you are looking for polished work, this is a good source. It is a photo community for sharing and honing your craft.

Publications – three good magazines are American PhotoBritish Journal of Photography and Lens Culture.

Photo Journalism – if you want to take a peek at some journalism photos, and essay’s my go to sites are BBC In Pictures and Lens from NY Times.

Paul Graham – I have listened to many photography lectures in my time and the person who made the biggest impact on me and frankly made the most sense was by far Paul Graham.

Archives – these two photographers Eugene Atget and Vivian Maier each have a mountain of solid work and both deserve a good look.

Google+ – on a final note take a look at Google plus. If you want to work on your craft join some of the photography circles, there is a pretty nice community of supportive people on there.

Blog – my last min entry as it is a new find is a blog that seems to be in the lines with Flak Photo, i.e. highlighting other work, and is called the dream being.

Where do you go for inspiration?

  1. I’ve been browsing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.

It is worth it for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.
